"Another universe is possible"

In a parallel universe to this one, the proletarian economist Adam Smith wrote:

"It is not from the egoism of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their neighbour. We address ourselves, not to their sadism but to their own benevolence, and never talk to them of our own offers but of their sacrifices. Nobody but an idiot chuses to depend chiefly upon the individualism of his fellow-citizens."

Allá por 1776, en un universo paralelo a éste, el economista proletario Adam Smith escribió:

"No es del egoísmo del carnicero, del cervecero o del panadero que esperamos nuestra comida, sino de la consideración que tienen hacia su prójimo. No apelamos a su sentido sádico sino a su propia benevolencia; ni les hablamos de nuestras ofertas, sino de sus sacrificios. Sólo los imbéciles eligen depender totalmente del egoísmo del individuo."
